Day 1: Nairobi

On arrival at Nairobi’s Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. After clearing immigration and customs proceed to the arrival hall where you will be met and greeted by our locally appointed airport representative and transferred to your hotel for overnight.

Day 2: Full Day in Nairobi

A leisurely breakfast followed by departure for Daphne Sheldrick Animal Orphanage in time to witness the feeding time of the little orphaned baby Elephants and Rhinos. Lunch on your own. During the afternoon, visit the Giraffe Center where you have an opportunity to feed some of the Rothschild Giraffe, now on the endangered list. Later, proceed to Karen Blixen Museum which was once the center piece of a farm at the foot of the Ngong Hills owned by Danish Author Karen and her Swedish Husband, Baron Bror von Blixen Fincke. The Museum belongs to a different time period in the history of Kenya. The farm house gained international fame with the release of the movie ‘Out of Africa’ an Oscar winning film based on Karen’s an autobiography by the same title. A welcome dinner this day at Carnivore restaurant and later transfer to your hotel for overnight.

Day 3: Laikipia - Olepangi Farm Guest House

After breakfast, transfer to Wilson Airport for your flight to Nanyuki. Meet and greet on arrival in Nanyuki will be by your driver-guide from the Olepangi Farm Guest House. Transfer from the airstrip to Olepangi Farm House, arriving in time for lunch. Spend the afternoon at leisure or spend time visiting the resident domesticated wildlife – donkeys, tortoises and resident Jersey cows. Enjoy a short ride on their canter to get accustomed to your horse and enjoy the local scenery. Get ready for the evening ‘sundowners’ followed by dinner down by the river and around a roaring fire. With luck we’ll have a magnificent night of glorious stars and “whoops” from the local hyenas.

Day 4: Laikipia - Ride to Lolldauga Ranch

Early risers can watch the sun rise over the mountain. After a sumptuous breakfast, we’ll ride out from our farm to Lolldaiga Ranch, often referred to as the most beautiful ranch in all of Kenya. It is a great privilege that we have the use of this private ranch for it is a wonder to behold. We’ll take our time enjoying the scenery and wildlife along the way. We’ll have a good chance of seeing elephant, giraffe, buffalo and, with luck, many other species. Ride back in the afternoon arriving in time for a short rest, then enjoy ‘sundowners’ and dinner around the campfire.

Day 5: Nanyuki - Mount Kenya Safari Club

After breakfast transfer to Fairmont Mount Kenya Safari Club arriving in time for lunch. Spend the rest of the afternoon at leisure enjoying facilities of your Club including a visit to the nearby animal orphanage. With magnificent views of majestic Mount Kenya, the Fairmont Mount Kenya Safari Club is set in over 100 acres of landscaped gardens. It offers a unique blend of comfort, relaxation and adventure. Travel & Leisure Magazine often positions this original retreat of movie star and Club founder, William Holden in the ‘World’s Top 50′ List. The Club’s illustrious list of ‘who’s who’ includes Sir Winston Churchill and Bing Crosby. Recreational activities include horseback riding, golf, croquet, a bowling green, table tennis, swimming, an animal orphanage and much more.

Day 6: Fly to Masai Mara Game Reserve

Following breakfast, transfer to the Nanyuki Airstrip in time to board your late-morning flight to Masai Mara. Meet and greet service by your driver guide from the Masai Mara by Governors Camp. Your transfer from the airstrip to the Camp will be in a shared-vehicle, meaning there will be other passengers with you. We proceed to Governors Camp for lunch. During the afternoon, enjoy game viewing and sightseeing in Masai Mara Game Reserve.

Day 7 & 8: Masai Mara Game Reserve

The Masai Mara National Reserve is home to an abundance of wildlife. The Mara’s endless savannah offers spectacular vistas and an excellent year-round concentration of wildlife. However, it is the additional million and a half wildebeest and zebras making their annual trek from Tanzania into Kenya that make up the Great Migration. Enjoy two days of morning and afternoon game viewing in the Reserve conducted using Governors Camp vehicles and drivers.

Day 9: Fly back to Nairobi and Depart

After breakfast a transfer to Musiara Airstrip in time to connect with your scheduled flight from Masai Mara to Nairobi. Meet and greet service upon arrival at Wilson Domestic Airport and drop off at the International Airport in time to connect your outbound flight back home.
