Spend the afternoon acclimatising to the African wilderness then after tea, head for a game drive in search of the ‘Big Five’ and other mammals and birdlife that roam the vast plains. 'Big Five' is a term once coined to a group of mammals for their might in being hunted down. At sunset, return to the lodge for dinner and overnight. On the second day, enjoy early morning and late afternoon game viewing drives. The Masai Mara is the northern extension to the Serengeti National Park in Tanzania, which itself is linked to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, but it is the pinnacle of the finest wildlife eco system in the world. An optional hot air balloon safari (payable extra) is highly recommended. You will be woken up early and driven to the launch site for the hot air balloon safari over the plains. On landing, enjoy a 'Bush Breakfast' then enjoy a short game drive en-route back to the lodge. Spend the rest of the morning at leisure or choose to go on a guided bird or nature walk (extra payable directly). Lunch is served at the lodge. Among the days, you have an option to go on a full day game drive with packed lunch to enjoy in the ‘bush’. There’s also an opportunity to visit a local Maasai village or 'boma' - an intriguing cultural experience to witness how this nomadic tribe live in harmony with nature and the wilderness (entrance fee payable at the boma).
