PRICE AND PAYMENT

  • We prefer payment by bank transfer for all confirmed bookings. Please contact XPLORATO VENTURES LIMITED to obtain these details.
  • Payment by credit card is also accepted. We accept Visa, MasterCard and AMEX. All credit card payments are handled by Direct Pay Online (www.directpay.online).
  • Upon confirmation of the booking, we require 35% deposit and the balance payment to be made one month prior to arrival. Incase of a booking made within one month prior to the travel date, we require full payment to be made upon confirmation.
  • Once a safari is confirmed XPLORATO VENTURES LIMITED makes full arrangements / bookings of the tour and if consequently the safari is cancelled prior to the cancellation period a 5% of the total amount shall be charged to cater for the work put into preparing the safari proposal.
  • For our safari bookings, payment package will differ depending upon the policy of the hotels offered.

TAXES

The safari program includes hotel taxes as imposed by city and state governments, entrance fees to National Parks and Game Reserves, and airport taxes for intra-country flights. International airport taxes are not included.

NOT INCLUDED IN SAFARI QUOTATIONS

Cost of obtaining passports, visas, travel insurance, excess baggage charges, items of a personal nature such as drinks, laundry, communication (calls, faxes, emails, etc.), international airport departure tax (to be paid in U.S. dollars or acceptable foreign currencies), and deviations from the tour.

ITINERARIES, HOTELS AND GROUND OPERATIONS

XPLORATO VENTURES LIMITED shall supply the tour as described in the booking confirmation. XPLORATO VENTURES LIMITED shall not be responsible for the supply of accommodation, transport or services not described in the booking confirmation and shall not be liable for any representation or information given unless such representations or information are confirmed by XPLORATO VENTURES LIMITED or any of its branch offices in the body of the booking confirmation or in writing. In entering into the booking the operator acknowledges that it does not rely on and waives any claim for breach of any such representations, which are not so confirmed.

XPLORATO VENTURES LIMITED reserves the right to change the hotel or other services the subject of the booking at any time prior to departure of the safari, excursion or during the course of the safari if XPLORATO VENTURES LIMITED considers it necessary to do so in the light of bookings, availability or unforeseen circumstance arising.

Whilst all reasonable attempts have been made to ensure the accuracy of information contained in XPLORATO VENTURES LIMITED brochures XPLORATO VENTURES LIMITED cannot accept any responsibility for the accuracy of such information. XPLORATO VENTURES LIMITED will use all reasonable endeavors to notify the operator of any changes to the hotels or facilities outlined in the brochures before commencement of the tour.

CANCELLATIONS BY CLIENTS

  • Cancellations received by XPLORATO VENTURES LIMITED 90 days or more prior to departure are subject to 5% of the total amount cancellation fee;
  • Cancellations received 89–60 days prior to departure are subject to a fee of 20% of the total retail tour rate;
  • 59 – 30 days is 50% of the tour rate.
  • Cancellations received 29 days or less are subject to a 100% cancellation fee.

Trip cancellation insurance is strongly recommended.

CANCELLATIONS BY XPLORATO VENTURES LIMITED

XPLORATO VENTURES LIMITED shall be entitled to cancel the booking by written notice to the client at any time before the beginning of the safari if the client has failed to make any payment under the terms of these conditions or if the client has failed to make a payment under the terms of any other agreement with XPLORATO VENTURES LIMITED.

GUARANTEED DEPARTURES

XPLORATO VENTURES LIMITED guarantees departure of all safaris once a deposit is paid except only cases of force majeure. This includes any major world event that adversely affects international travel patterns and circumstances beyond XPLORATO VENTURES LIMITED control.

PHOTOGRAPHY

XPLORATO VENTURES LIMITED and other offices reserve the right to take photographs during the operation of any excursions or part thereof and to use the photographs for promotional purposes. By confirming a safari, holiday or tours with XPLORATO VENTURES LIMITED, clients agree to allow their images to be used in such photographs. Clients who prefer that their images not be used are asked to identify themselves at the beginning of their safaris. 

RESPONSIBILITY

XPLORATO VENTURES LIMITED does not own or operate any entity that provides the goods or services for your safari, holidays or tours. It purchases the transportation (road, air, rail), accommodation, restaurant and other services from various independent suppliers and these are not subject to its control. XPLORATO VENTURES LIMITED cannot therefore, be held liable for death, personal injury or any other loss that may occur:

  • Due to any act of omission by such supplier.
  • By reason of any other event over which it has no control.

However, XPLORATO VENTURES LIMITED will ensure that every service provided is of best category having been checked and approved by XPLORATO VENTURES LIMITED.

XPLORATO VENTURES LIMITED is not responsible for any injury, death, inconvenience, loss of personal property, delay or damage to personal property in connection with the provision of any goods or services whether resulting from but not limited to: acts of god, force majeure, illness, disease, acts of war, civil unrest, insurrection of revolt, animals, strikes or other labour activities of any kind, overbooking or downgrading of services, food poisoning, mechanical or any other failure or delays of aircraft or other means of transportation, or for failure of any transportation mechanism to arrive or depart on schedule and other acts or incidents beyond its ability to control.

OPTIONAL ACTIVITES THAT MAY BE DANGEROUS

Depending on the itinerary, optional activities will be available at some places you will visit. There are certain inherent risks in adventure travel. These include but are not limited to: risks of sand ski, dune buggies, camel safaris, fishing trips, mountain climbing, hatta trekking, team building and other activities which can cause serious personal injury, inaccessibility to medical attention and difficulty in evacuation from remote locations in the case of medical emergency. Client assumes all such risks with regard to these possibilities. You should be aware that, although precautions are taken by the suppliers to guard against such dangers, your safety cannot be guaranteed.

Should you elect to participate in such activities while you are on your safari, you are of course free to do so. However, you must understand that such participation will be at your own risk, and that XPLORATO VENTURES LIMITED can assume no responsibility for your safety.

TRAVELLER’S REPRESENTATIONS

The traveller represents that he or she nor anyone traveling with him or her has any physical or other condition or disability that would create a hazard to him or herself or other members on the safari, holidays or tours. Should travellers have any condition that may restrict them from certain activities, they should inform XPLORATO VENTURES LIMITED so that we can advise them prior to the activity.

AIR TRANSPORTATION

All scheduled or chartered airline flights are occasionally subject to overbooking, delays or cancellation. If this occurs, XPLORATO VENTURES LIMITED and/or its correspondent companies will do all in their power to assist clients in boarding flights or finding alternative arrangements. It must be stressed that this is done as a courtesy to clients and XPLORATO VENTURES LIMITED cannot be held responsible for denied boarding, nor for additional cost thus incurred or for missed services occasioned by the same.

CLAIMS AND REFUNDS

Except for verifiable extenuating circumstances, refunds are not made for any missed services. For verifiable claims to be considered, they must be received in writing within 30 days of the termination of the safari, holidays or tours and must be accompanied by supporting documentation.
